Passage | Ceramic works by Debbie Kupinsky

November 20, 2014 - January 17, 2015

“I am ultimately interested in how we reconcile beauty with loss.”

Debbie Kupinsky’s work creates a sense of what lies within as well as without. As she creates objects and images, from the ordinary to the metaphorically loaded, she is exploring the interior lives and narratives that lie hidden beneath the surface of every day experience. Kupinsky’s work investigates the role of objects and images as carriers of meaning and how they relate ideas and emotions that cannot be expressed in words.

Debbie Kupinsky has exhibited nationally and internationally. She is currently the Uihlein Fellow in Studio Art, Ceramics and Foundations at Lawrence University.
