Colleen Ansbaugh’s Out My Window series is a colorful travelogue of what she saw out the car window on her journeys through “Up North” Wisconsin. She uses nature as a source of inspiration, hand dyeing fiber and cloth to create her art.

About the artist
A nationally recognized fiber artist, most recently featured in Quilt National 2017: The Best of Contemporary Quilts, Colleen Ansbaugh’s life-long love of textiles began when she learned to sew as a child. She has been widely published, and her work has been exhibited in many venues, including the United Nations, NASA, Geneva, Switzerland, the John Michael Kohler Art Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and in numerous International Quilt Festivals. Ansbaugh earned a Master’s Degree in Business, Textile and Clothing from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and currently resides in northern Wisconsin.
