We value our volunteers!
Enthusiastic volunteers are the mainstay of ArtStart. If you have time to spare, consider bringing your own expertise, experience, insight and interest to help make ArtStart a destination visual arts and cultural center.

Volunteer Opportunities Descriptions:
We need volunteers to staff ArtStart during gallery opening hours (Th 11–5, Fr 1–7, Sa 11–5) and in the summer: We 11-5). Qualifications include enthusiasm for art and people! On-the-job training will be provided.
Youth Arts Education Team
Are you interested in youth arts education? Consider helping out with this year’s youth arts offering: the ArtStart FishPrize Competition and exhibition featuring the work of students K-3rd grade. If you have ideas, enthusiasm and, most of all, the willingness to put your ideas and enthusiasm into action, join the team! Everyone is welcome—you do not need to be a working artist to participate—there are many ways to be creative!
Communications and Publicity
Interested in spreading the word about ArtStart? We need a person with organizational skills to coordinate publicity and media. We have a team of several people doing writing, design, press releases, etc. Are you the person to coordinate our joint efforts or research regional and state media outlets?
Party & Events Team
Do you like to plan parties, create delicious treats or shop for decorations? Then this is the team for you!
General office work, cleaning, shoveling
We need help with mailings, filing, helping to keep the galleries clean, shoveling our steps and handicap accessible ramp. If you can help us with these important day-to-day tasks, let us know!
What are your skills: Fund raising? Legal advice? Negotiating rental space? Computer whiz? Business expert? Gardener? ArtStart is a grand community project and we need all of you to make it work!
